Belife Thai Massage brings the real thing to Athlone: therapists trained in Thailand, traditional Thai technique, genuine Thai herbal balms and oils, and a treatment room designed to make the noise of the town disappear the moment you close the door.

Our signature treatment. Deep pressure, gliding, rolling, stroking and the pulling and stretching movements of traditional Thai massage, using palms, thumbs, elbows and knees together with oil and Thai balm. You get the relaxation of a full-body oil massage plus the deeper muscle work and stretching Thai massage is famous for.
A warm herbal aroma oil massage that helps relieve swelling, pain and stiffness caused by inflamed muscles. The heat and slow, flowing strokes improve joint mobility and muscle contraction for more effective blood circulation — ideal in an Irish winter.
The softest option on our menu. Essential oils are worked into the body with smooth, unhurried strokes for therapeutic benefit — enhancing well-being, restoring balance and revitalising mind and body. Choose this one if you simply want to switch off.
A therapeutic treatment that blends traditional Thai acupressure and stretching with medicated herbal balms. Fragrant warming or cooling balm — infused with menthol, camphor, eucalyptus and Thai herbs — is massaged directly into tight muscles and sore joints.
Smooth, heated volcanic stones warm and relax tight muscles before the therapist works on them. Excellent for easing deep muscle pain, melting away stress and improving blood flow — and one of the most comforting hours you can spend on a cold day.
Suction cups lift the skin and fascia to boost blood flow and ease tight muscles — deep-tissue massage in reverse. Used to help reduce body pain, lower swelling and promote deep relaxation. Dry cupping uses suction only on intact skin, either held in place or glided across the body.
Deep tissue and sports massage share the same science and the same basic movements — sports massage grew out of deep tissue technique. We use firm, targeted pressure on specific problem areas, so it is the treatment of choice for runners, GAA players, gym-goers and anyone with a stubborn knot.
A traditional healing practice combining reflexology, stretching and targeted pressure-point therapy to stimulate the body's energy lines (Sen lines). Perfect after a long day on your feet — it relieves tension, boosts circulation and promotes overall wellness.
A targeted treatment focused entirely on the upper body. Strategic kneading, gliding strokes and adjusted pressure dissolve the painful trigger points that build up from staring at screens, sitting for long periods or lifting heavy objects. The most popular 30 minutes we offer.

Belife Thai Massage is on the first floor of Mardyke House, Mardyke Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath N37 C9T1 — right in Athlone town centre, a short walk from Church Street, Athlone Castle and the Shannon. Open directions in Google Maps.
We are open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 in the morning until 20:00 in the evening. We are closed on Sunday. The last appointment of the day starts before closing time, so please allow for the full length of your treatment when you book.
At Belife, a 30-minute treatment (foot massage, or back, neck & shoulder relief) is €35. A one-hour full-body massage is €60, and 90 minutes is €90. Dry cupping is €70 for one hour and €100 for 90 minutes. All prices include VAT and there are no hidden extras.

For desk-related tension across the upper back, neck and shoulders, start with our Back, Neck & Shoulder Relief (30 or 60 minutes). If the tightness is deeper or long-standing, a Deep Tissue & Sports Massage or a Dry Cupping Treatment will usually give more lasting relief. Tell your therapist exactly where the problem is and they will focus the time there.
Yes. Our Deep Tissue & Sports Massage (60 minutes, €60) uses firm, targeted pressure on the specific muscles giving you trouble. It is popular with runners, gym-goers, GAA and rugby players around Athlone, both before events and during recovery.
Dry cupping uses suction cups placed on intact skin to lift the tissue, boost blood flow and release tight muscle — the opposite action to a deep tissue massage. It should not be painful; most people describe a firm pulling sensation. Round marks can appear afterwards and normally fade within a few days.
You will be asked a few short questions about your health, any injuries and the pressure you prefer. For oil treatments you undress to your comfort level and are covered with towels throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered. Arrive about five minutes early so you can settle in, and avoid a heavy meal just before.
Please tell us before you book if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or an injury, or being treated for any medical condition — including high blood pressure, blood clots, skin conditions or if you are taking blood-thinning medication. Massage is a wellness treatment, not a medical one, so if in doubt check with your GP first.
